Grace's Story (A Timeline From Birth to Early Death)

   A sense of Grace’s childhood and adolescence before the crimes.

The Lovely Before: 

 Grace was conceived in love by her parents in Italy, the pregnancy and birth of Grace was easy and peaceful. Grace Hannah Perez was Born on a Full Moon on May 18, 2000, at 6:26am in Los Angeles. She was a Taurus Sun, a Gemini Rising and a Sagittarius Moon, she was an indigo child born at this time in history with a special mission. 

Grace was a pensive, calm, old soul baby. Her first word was” baybo” As a toddler she grew into a sweet little sprite, pixie, faerie who adored and followed every move of her big sister Ava.  Grace attended Ecole Claire Fontaine preschool in Venice where she sang French songs and baked bread with her friends. Grace had an incredible imagination, playing make-believe, dancing, and drawing...such  glimmers of a budding artist! 

Grace’s soulmate was Ava, her sister. Grace and Ava were 18 months apart.    Grace and Ava spent Shabbats on Friday night at Meme and Pepe’s house with all her cousins, aunts, and uncles. They hiked in nature or had beach adventures surfing and skateboarding. Grace attended a Waldorf inspired elementary school. Ocean Charter school in Venice with her big sister Ava from 1st to 7th grade. Grace studied ballet 5 days a week with her sister and other best friend Issy, our neighbor with ballet teachers Yuliia and George from Bulgaria and later Cat. Grace was a prolific dancer with incredible technique and passion.  Grace, Ava and Issy created dance performances, sold lemonade on our corner, had slumber parties listening to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. They were inseparable. 

 Grace loved Chanel the fashion designer and would dress with style. Grace loved writing and creating magic through stories. She loved journals and was a voracious reader,  Grace and Ava attended Hebrew school at Ohr Hatorah to prepare for their Bat Mitzvahs every Saturday and attended Temple for Shabbat. Grace and Ava shared a bedroom until 8th grade with a bunk bed. Ava slept on top and Grace on the bottom bed. They would laugh each other to sleep every night with silly fun stories. Fun! Grace and Ava were partners in crime…   Grace had the best sense of humor, and her favorite movie was The Grinch with Jim Carey Grace attended New West Charter from 7th to 12th grade with her sister Ava who was one grade above her. 

They were known as the Perez Twins…   Trips to Palm Springs, skateboarding in Venice Beach, shopping at Buffalo Exchange or Crossroads clothes stores.  Grace was a fashionista and loved the 1920’s. Going to movies, singing along to Kanye West, Yung Lean, and Mac Miller songs. Grace loved creating potions and healing herbs. Her favorite perfumes were roses and lavender.    Grace and Ava Bat Mitzvah together in Jerusalem on June 20th, 2015, where they toured Israel for 3 weeks. As a family Grace traveled to Sweden, Denmark, Hawaii, Florida, Colorado, British Columbia, Vancouver, New York, Peru, Machu Picchu, Mexico, Tulum, Oregon…   Grace's favorite movie was Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen.   Grace had a wicked, smart sense of humor. She was blunt with the truth in a sweet fairy way. She was salt of the earth. Her favorite show was Gossip Girl. Grace loved beauty and modeling.  She modeled for Cobra Shop in Hollywood and many other LA designers. Grace was deeply soulful, sassy, brilliant and genius, she was often found meditating outside in full lotus. 

She would come home from high school and dance like a whirling Sufi master in the living room to blow off steam…A trance mystical dancer. Grace identified as an author and wanted to go to college for writing. Grace was an intellectual and a philosopher.  She called herself a nerd who loved Sylvia Plath and was inspired to be a great writer.   Grace applied for 3 Universities in London and was accepted to them all. Grace became obsessed with New Orleans, wanting to write a novel set in the 1920’s….         

 Until...Darkness Descended.

At the age of 17 darkness entered Grace’s world when she became a victim of a horrendous crime in which she was sex-trafficked via social media by the 33-year-old photographer named Mike Batz. 

Over a period of two years prior to detection, the pedophile psychologically groomed her by isolating her from her family, therapist, and community. He drugged her with Xanax, ketamine, heroin to take pornographic photos, and videos and rape her. 

The predator had a website that other pedophiles could pay to view Grace’s sexual abuse. Fully groomed and shamed in a Stockholm Syndrome level of compliance over a period of a few years, Grace went on a downward spiral of addiction to ketamine and Xanax to cope with the unbearable pain. 

As Grace attempted  to separate herself from the pedophile sex trafficker, he  increased her drugs to injectables and increased her doses to control her.   A victim of drug-based manipulated sex trafficking and later rape and dark web exploitation, Grace entered her first rehab in Louisiana and Intensive outpatient at home in Los Angeles. Regardless of the intense trauma , Grace graduated high school in May 2018. That summer Grace and mom traveled to Paris; her dream came true. She visited Versailles, as one of her favorite movies was Marie Antoinette by Sophia Coppola. 

She visited the University of London for the writer’s program she was accepted into…and visited student housing in Notting Hill London. As an inspiration to strive for once she was sober and healthy enough for this commitment.  Grace returned to Los Angeles to deal with the great trauma of the sexual abuse and the addiction it left in its wake.   

  The law moved slowly, a formal FBI sting was held and Grace’s first pedophile, sex trafficker/ perpetrator was arrested for one day and fled the country on low bail. Till this day hiding in Guatemala. 

Nearly an dozen other girls in WLA were also reported to have been identified as victims by Mike Batz and were able to seek help.

 Now intensely traumatized by the criminal Batz, Grace pushed for the light, and had numerous attempts at sobriety via rehabs, sober livings, outpatients, 51/50’s, and AA meetings. Despite all this struggle and pain, she attended writing courses at UCLA. From 18 to 20 years of age while she lived on north Spaulding in West Hollywood she wrote her masterpiece, a noir mystery novel located in 1920’s New Orleans titled

 “The Demise of Alice”. 

In February of 2021 Grace changed drastically as Chris Watts introduced Grace and her friend Natasha to Fentanyl. 

She told her parents she never wanted or intended to use opiates.  The drug dealer Watts whom she met on a sex cam website “kept giving her Fentanyl laced Xanax.”   In the months that followed, Grace was targeted and sex trafficked by Chris Watts of Eagle Rock,  sex trafficker/ drug dealer who supplied Fentanyl and ran a drug/’trap’ house for camgirls. He found Grace on a Cam girl website titled

 teens/ 18+. 

With the constant supply of intentional fentanyl laced drugs and psychological control from yet another sociopathic sex trafficker, Grace overdosed and had seizures countless times. Her family was relentless in pursuing and helping her with her recovery with numberless attempts at detox, rehabs, outpatient, etc. 

Her friends did everything they could to help Grace and family with her sobriety.   Through this painful struggle, Grace continued to create miniature figurines and books and essential oil perfumes…She had a website for her novel. She dreamed of living in New Orleans, her favorite place in America. Her favorite weather was rain. Her favorite colors were green and purple.  

Already scarred by trauma,  Grace moved to the DuBarry in Koreatown where she lived near drug dealer and trafficker, Chris Watts aka “Stella”. He became excessively obsessed and extremely possessive of vulnerable Grace. 

The family battled with this person to rid him of Grace’s life including law enforcement and all means necessary, as his obsession with her heightened, he, like her prior predator when she was a minor, used increased amounts of drugs and psychological abuse to shame and own her as his object of perverse sexual abuse. 

The predator targets victims both minors and young adult vulnerable girls, to live in and use as a sex camming studio, his bottom floor apartment of his main house in the Eagle Rock neighborhood. He exchanged sex, drugs, a place to live and money with Grace and other victims. He also used Grace and other victims as ‘Mules” to transport drugs for him, he increases their dosages getting them into indentured slavery.  

Watts used drugs to control, coerce and manipulate Grace and other victims, often holding a debt over them, while also threatening to harm or shame them publicly. 

Whenever Grace sought help to get sober, for example, detox, outpatient or rehab he would go to the facilities and lure her with fentanyl telling her that all those efforts did not work, and that she could use drugs with low maintenance.  He would isolate, gaslight, and shame Grace from  family and friends who fought for her safety and sobriety.    Even issuing death threats to one of Grace's best friends and her brother when they tried to protect Grace from the abuse of this predator.  

Her family sent a bounty hunter to his house to retrieve her, however, he hid her from the bounty hunter. The family sent the police and paramedics for a wellness check to his house as Grace went silent for days, he once again hid her. 

The predator stalked Grace numerous times at her family home threatening the family and dangerously driving his red Tesla that scared the neighbors in a lovely west Los Angeles neighborhood. He would tell Grace that her family and loved ones were evil, to sue her parents or go after their professional licenses, further isolating Grace. He played the only “good” person that Grace could trust, everyone else was bad. 

Desperate with Grace deep in the grips of Chris’s Fentanyl control, Grace’s family, turned to  the narcotics division in Eagle Rock, who staked out his  home/trap house. He used his multiple properties to sell drugs and had girls to run drugs. Due to defunding the narcotics division at the same time this sting was dropped by the police.   

Keeping a Hollywood SFX job, he was able to run a Weinstein-like cottage industry of sex/ drug trafficking while using his public image, his money, his red Tesla to intrigue and trap girls. 

Once his victims psychologically broke, he would quickly replace them. A few of his victims died of  overdoses and he would post the deaths on social media for narcissistic attention and sympathy. 

 A miracle occurred, after an excruciating 2 years of incredible pain and battling with the predator fighting for Grace's life  -  Grace's family grabbed and temporarily hid Grace from her poisoner, abuser, dealer, stalker, and sex/drug  trafficker "Chris Stella Watts"

After hiding Grace from “Stella” before he could stalk and lure her again, the family had her on an airplane to Texas to seek treatment in a  women’s rehab and sexual trauma center. This is where she was able to get sober for the first time in 2 years. They hid her with no phone, no ID, computer, and money. She battled the pain, she almost died, faced suicidality, and severe withdrawals from Fentanyl and Xanax.  

Against all odds, she was finally safe. She became conscious, and embodied, connecting with her heart once again. The Community of Fullbrook Rehab and Windhaven sober living wrapped her in love, and appreciated her essence, her light, her dignity, and her self-worth.   

She attended individual and somatic psychotherapy, daily Intensive outpatient program AA/NA meetings and lived with a healthy sober community of women who loved and cared for Grace's Soul. 

Grace went to yoga daily, chanted/prayed and was able to connect with her inner divinity. She was preparing to attend the Institute of Art in Dallas. She was working on her AA  4th step with her sponsor. She had graduated from a 2-month intensive outpatient.   

Two days after her 4-month sober birthday on Saturday, March 4th Chris Watts lured Grace into his red Tesla.  

Obsessed  and loaded with fentanyl laced drugs once again, Watts drove from Los Angeles to Dallas to seduce her from her safe sober living, where she was intentionally hidden from his ongoing drug grooming, manipulation and abuse.  

Some of her last writings in her 4th step included her fears of how much money she owed Chris, her dealer/abuser for the fentanyl-based drugs she was constantly supplied on an ongoing basis.  She had no phone, no money, and no ID. 

She disappeared, for what was for the family, the most torturous 10 days of their lives.  The family knew Grace was with the predator and her chances of death were great. 

On March 14th at 9:04 am in Detroit to the family's horror, dear Grace was pronounced dead.  

Watts had pulled her out of the 6th rehab, and soon supplied and overdosed her and killed her.  Just as many other had died around him, prior of the same "teen category looking" profile as Grace.  Watts also took Grace cross many state lines, while filming pornography of Grace just before her death.   Even giving her his own bank account to where Grace, now drugged and controlled again, could be used  and trafficked for money for the perverted and dangerous Watts. 

After Watts overdosed Grace with his special and well known mixture of fentanyl, he dumped Grace, left and told no one and fled. The family flew to Detroit to identify her body. 

They then interviewed the ER doctor and the Homicide Sergeant, who saw Watts, a 58 year old man, dump off the deceased 22 year old Grace and he ran away from the scene of yet another "death by distribution" to a young cam girl he had poisoned, trafficked and worn out. 

The family flew her body to Santa Monica Cemetery where she is now buried.  This tragic end will never shade her Purity or her Profound impact on this world.  Grace had a mission of spreading light and love in this world…. She accomplished it. In Grace's 22 years of life, she lived fully with passion, creativity, joy, wonder, magic, and adventure.

Grace was Love and is Love.   But Grace is now dead. 

  To date there are NO consequences for Chris Watts murdering Grace.  

We must act to deliver #justiceforgraceand to protect ALL our children from all sex traffickers and fentanyl abusers/dealers seeking to traffic them.
